KEY LARGO
WHY KEY LARGO?
During Covid we decided to temporarily leave Brooklyn for Florida to reset, save some money, and spend time on the beach. Jordan has roots in Key Largo going at least once a year since she was 2 years old. Tyler wanted nothing to do with Florida... California football > Florida football, and "it's Florida... right??". Wrong, Tyler.

We ended up staying multiple months, flying Moose back and forth, and falling in love with the Keys. Our time was spent sitting by the pool or ocean - preferably with an Ocean Pointe Piña Colada, an IPA, or a Mexican Lager in hand. We spent our weekends hopping from one restaurant to another, driving up and spending the day in Miami, or taking long drives to try to see as much of the 800 Keys as we could.
We found our happy place - just us, in the Keys, together.

THINGS TO DO
EAT & DRINK
By far Jordan & Tyler's favorite part of Key Largo. See our favorite places below.
DEEP SEA FISHING
Islamorada & Key Largo are often referred to as the "Sport-fishing Capital of the World". We don't fish, but there are plenty of spots and fishing charters to take you out for the day.
SNORKEL & SCUBA DIVE
Key Largo is the 'Dive Capital of the World' and home to John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park (the county's first undersea park). There are tons of dive shops that will take you out for a full or half day!
EVERGLADES
The Everglades National Park is the largest tropical wilderness in the United States and is home to the oldest and largest alligator farm, containing over 2,000 alligators. Take an airboat tour to see alligators in the wild & be prepared to get wet!
VIST KEY WEST
Key West is the southernmost city in the continental US & full of history. Walk down Duval Street and have a margarita at the original Margaritaville. The drinks are strong but the vibes are high!
KAYAK / JETSKI
Just off the shore of Key Largo you are guaranteed to see wild life. Rent a jet ski or a clear Kayak and explore the mangroves. Watch for manatees - the most friendly animal in the sea.

EAT & DRINK
MRS. MACS KITCHEN
Mrs. Mac's Kitchen is a Key Largo staple and somewhere J&T frequent multiple times when in Key Largo. They have 2 casual restaurants (same menu). Make sure to get the Conch Chowder, Philly Cheesesteak, and the Key Lime pie.
THE FISH HOUSE
A Key Largo staple that is part resturant and part local fish market. Bobby Flay, Guy Fieri, & Dave Smith reccomend the Matecumbe.
WHAT THE FISH?
A fast-casual, easygoing seafood shack known for their crab cakes & lobster rolls. Outdoor seating right on the dock to watch boats come and go.
THE SQUARE GROUPER
One of our favorite places for seafood and craft cocktails. Sunset bar & lounge upstairs and restaurant downstairs. Make sure to check out the paintings and artwork to learn what the term 'square grouper' really means.

LORIELEI'S
Bayfront roadhouse with outdoor bar, seafood, live music, and sunset views. Don't forget to take a photo with the mermaid!
HARRETTE'S
Breakfast diner with the best muffins you'll ever have. Get there early and don't be turned off from the line. They move fast and its worth the wait.
MORADA BAY
Caribbean-style. Best place to eat and watch the sunset with the tables in the sand and tiki torches. The Smith family staple for the past 20 years.
SNAPPERS
Our favorite bar for live music, happy hour, and late nights. Snappers feels like home to us :)
SAL'S BALLYHOOS
A local favorite that is all about the fish with a southern twist. Make sure to get the boiled peanuts, the all you can eat snow crab, or the Hemingway Yellowtail.
